JULS & SIROM

The journey together into the world of collegiate shag began for Sirom and Juls in Innsbruck in 2018.
From then on, they trained regularly and were able to deepen their understanding of collegiate shag.
By traveling to various international festivals, they gained more and more experience and refined their dance skills. As a result, they acquired a very large repertoire of different moves and styles in a short time.

They created the Austrian festival Alpine Jitterbugs, one of the best experiences a shag and/or balboa dancer can live, a great inspiration for Sweet & Hot.

Sirom and Juls focus primarily on technique in their lessons. It is important to them to convey the skills behind the various moves so that Collegiate Shag can become an elegant and more relaxed dance for all Shagaddicts.

Their class will be focused on transitions between shag, balboa and even lindy hop. This opens up countless possibilities, based on solid technique and musicality. You must know the basics of those dances to enjoy the class, therefore we recommend you to assist to the friday classes and train at the parties. As always, we encourage you to experiment with changing roles (leader/follower) if you feel confident enough.

LUCIA & SAM

Lucia Medea (València) and Sam Chez (Madrid) are the new sensation teaching balboa in festivals across Europe. Don’t miss the opportunity to absorve any tip they can share with you!

Balboa Moods will be a multilevel class. We will start from the basics but we will add style and different techniques for those who already know how to dance balboa. Moreover, if you feel confident enough in your balboa, we encourage you to try the class in a different rol (leader or follower).

VERÒNICA & GUILLE

Verònica Juan (Alicante) and Guillermo Valero (Valencia) are dancing Collegiate Shag together since the day they met in 2018. They also founded the band The Shag Sharks which was created especially for dancers. They combine music and dancing as a daily basis.

Shag Moves will be a multilevel class. We will start from the basics but we will add style and different techniques for those who already know how to dance Collegiate Shag. Moreover, if you feel confident enough in your collegiate shag basics, we encourage you to try the class in a different rol (leader or follower).

VERÒNICA

Verònica has a classical ballet background but she has being educated in many different styles such as contemporary, swing dances, urban styles, and one of her favourites, African and Afro dance styles. She has been dancing and teaching African rhythms for more than ten years, getting to be trainned in Senegal and Gambia.

In the AFRICAN DANCE class she will teach us how to connect with our roots and move all our body in our dancing. Jazz comes from Africa and to Africa we shall look.
